About Katerra

Katerra Billy is a versatile professional with over eight years of experience in education and education-adjacent roles. Billy is currently a diverse learner educator at ReNew Schaumburg Primary School in New Orleans. She has is an Alum of the SELF NOLA Neurodiversity Fellowship,  Teach for America/Leadership for Educational Equity Policy Fellowship, EdSurge Voices of Change, and Black Educators NoLa Fellowship.

 

She recently was a key feature in Road Trip Nations documentary featured on  PBS entitled “Measuring Students Success”. Through these experiences and much more, Billy has grown in her expertise in exceptional learners and the educational landscape
 
She received her master’s degree from New York University and a recently obtained Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University. As much as she loves books, Billy also enjoys traveling, cooking with and for loved ones, music and cultural events—all activities which ground her in the beauty of life.
